domybidding is a fictional art installation about the attention economy. I copied the interface of the leaderboard sites it parodies and pointed the format at people instead of products.
Every listing extrapolates something audiences already pay for. Streamers run week-long subathons where sleeping costs them income. Clip channels repost a stranger's worst recorded moment within minutes of it happening. Platforms price attention by the watch hour and pay out on it.
This site holds a mirror up to the platforms you already use. Real feeds rank people and price their attention, and this one only removes the euphemism. One thing interrupts the simulation: you, trying to participate. The moment you try to take part, I stop pretending.
I withheld the darkest bounties on purpose, and I will not write explicit versions of them. A moderation notice with the pot left open tells you more about how platforms handle harm than a description would. I put the withheld tier behind an age attestation and 2 warnings because real platforms gate harm with checkboxes, and a checkbox proves nothing.
This page records anonymous events: which bounties you scroll past, whether you open the restricted tier, how many seconds you pause at each warning, whether you check the attestation box, what you try to back or bet on, and whether you return to the simulation after I tell you it is fake. I store a random session id and timestamps, and I never store names, accounts, or the text you type into the bounty box. I send the same event names to Vercel Analytics as aggregate counts with no visitor identity attached, and I will publish the totals as part of this project.
One difference separates this site from the platforms it copies: this one told you it was an auction.
